Finally found a walnut tree in town, on Bassett Street about half a block from the Catholic church. There were a few drops underneath it, and I ate a half of one that was cracked open. A bit bitter, it has probably been absorbing all kinds of toxic chemicals after the rains wash everybody's lawns into the street.
