yesterday, can't remember if I mentioned it or not, I finally got my pocketknife sharp enough to shave with. I nicked myself badly, but it actually cuts the short whiskers, something I never got it to do reliably before.
also last night, I got mikroe-uhb to write to the PIC32MX7. unfortunately, it didn't write correctly, and in fact I may have overwritten the bootloader. I'll probably find out later today, after my bicycle journey to the city.
