Using probiotics (sauerkraut, its juice, and yogurt) I managed to keep the disease from progressing all day yesterday, but overnight it got worse, and I was on the verge of a cough. So I just kept going back to sleep until the throat improved. Drank a small sip of kraut juice from the container to which I added garlic yesterday. It tasted great at first, then for almost a minute I thought I was going to puke. But I didn't, and now I'm drinking my first cup of coffee for the day. I don't have much in the way of food, but maybe that's OK.
