Bought a Baofeng UV-82 on Amazon, and got it maybe a week or so ago, but until today haven't had any luck programming the local repeater into it. The PTT-A switch just beeps in frequency mode, and while it works in memory mode, it would switch into a totally different band when pushing it. Finally I figured out that I had to actually enter the calculated transmit frequency (146.910 minus 600MHz, so 146.310) before hitting the menu button another 3 times to save it.
