Full Disclosure Agreement
Prologue
Whereas in the course of my programming career I have had to choose between
signing a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) or not working a particular job, I
have noted in many cases that employers seem to:
- believe that they and only they have Intellectual Property (IP)
worth protecting,
- think that the programming work I'm going to perform for them will be
unique, having no trace of code that I've written before and nothing that
I will ever use again;
- want to prevent my ever working for a similar company, or doing similar
work, or reusing code from my own libraries that I applied to solve their
problem;
I have written this Full Disclosure Agreement (FDA) as an alternative. Hiring
me for a particular job implies consent to the terms of this FDA.
